About the Role

We arelookingfor a Legal Counsel to join our Brisbane-based team, supporting Hewitt's global operations across the full spectrum of the supply chain–
agribusinessoperations,
processing,salesand
our corporate offices.
n
Reporting to the General Counsel & Head of Risk, you
willprovidecommercially
focused legal advice across a diverse and evolving business. This is a dynamic, hands-on role partnering closely with stakeholders across multiple geographies to mitigate risk, support decision-making and enable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Providetimely, practical legal advice across business operations
n
Draft,reviewand negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts
n
Identifyand mitigate legal risks through
policies,proceduresand
training
n
Manage disputes balancing legal risk,costand business outcomes
n
Support
governance,complianceand
strategic M&A; initiatives
n

You are a commercially astute legal professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. With strong
technicalexpertiseand
sound judgement, you can confidently partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver practical legal solutions.

You enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a broaderteam andbring a proactive approach to managing risk and supporting organisational success.

You Will Bring
n
Demonstrated 2-4 years' experience in legal practice within a reputable law firm and/or in-house setting
n
Proven capability in delivering practical legalsolutions andadvice
n
Strong negotiation,
criticalthinkingand
sound decision-making skills
n
Proactive approach to problem solving and an ability to think outside of the box
n
Ability to build
andmaintaineffective
relationships with global stakeholders
n
Current Australian practising certificate (or eligibility)
n
