The Opportunity
n
At Shine, we right wrong for our clients, and as a permanent Paralegal or Senior Paralegal in our Wollongong personal injury team, that starts with you. You'll work closely with and support our legal team to make a meaningful, long lasting impact for our clients.
n
While experience in personal injury law is preferred, it's not essential for success in this role. We're open to applications from experienced legal professionals with exposure to litigation and a solid understanding of evidence, legal processes and file management. You'll bring strong organisational skills, professionalism and empathy, along with a genuine passion for helping vulnerable individuals achieve justice.
n
Whilst this is a full-time role, we're open to considering candidates seeking four days per week. You'll have the opportunity to discuss your preferred working days throughout the recruitment process.
n
With empathy, adaptability and initiative, you'll support our clients by:
n
n
Working with our solicitors to successfully support them with day-to-day operations of files and client management.
n
Preparing matters for conference and hearing, including preparation of court and legal documents and general correspondence.
n
Using your high attention to detail to draft briefs and documents, such as claims forms and schedule of damages.
n
Efficiently coordinating medico-legal appointments, compulsory conferences and mediations.
n




Cultivating strong relationships with our clients, Shine employees, Counsel and other external stakeholders.
n
Supporting our legal team with optimising the use of internal systems to process information.
n

What you'll bring

Demonstrated experience supporting legal teams within a litigation environment.
n
Strong organisational and time management skills.
n
Experience using legal software and electronic file management systems.
n
A keen eye for detail and strong document drafting skills.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
An understanding of the importance of your role as a key point of contact supporting our clients.
