We are seeking an automotive trainer based in Queensland.
n

Work Skills is a privately owned Registered Training Organisation. We specialise in delivering nationally recognised qualifications throughout Queensland.
n
We require an Automotive Mechanical Trainer holding any or all of these qualifications
n
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
n
Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology
n
Certificate III in Automotive Underbody Technology *must hold or similar
n
Duties & responsibilities
n
The job role primarily is to deliver training and assessment locally and at Certificate II level within Correctional Centres throughout Queensland.
n
There will be some away from home travel (no more than a week at a time) and there will be "working from home days", completing electronic training, marking students work and planning and preparation.
n
This role requires that you have:
n
An automotive qualification as an automotive light vehicle mechanic or underbody service technican (at minimum Certificate II level)
n




Advantage is experience in automotive electrical
n
You are required to have completed a certificate IV in training and assessment TAE*****. If you do not have this, we help you enrol and complete this qualification as part of your recent career journey
n
This position is ideally suited to an individual with the following skills:
n
A desire for education and training
n
Competent computer skills (you are trained in video training techniques)
n
Current industry experience and knowledge is essential
n
The ability to build relationships with Employers, Supervisors and Apprentices
n
Ensure that a high level of quality training is delivered
n
Able to adapt to different work environments
n
Be willing to accept change
n
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
n
Remain calm under pressure with a solution focused approach to all tasks
n
