This is an opportunity for an ambitious carpenter or Leading Hand who wants to get off the tools and develop into a professional Site Manager. You'll work alongside experienced construction professionals, receive genuine mentoring and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills develop.

Most importantly, they understand that becoming a good Site Manager takes time. You won't simply be given a title and expected to figure it out yourself.

What You'll Learn
n
Working directly alongside an experienced Site Manager, you'll learn how to manage a commercial construction project from the ground up.
n
Your development will include:
n
n
Managing and coordinating subcontractors
n
WHS including inductions, SWMS, toolbox talks and safety walks
n
Short-term programming and planning your site
n
Quality control and defect management
n
Site set-out, deliveries and permits
n
Working with consultants and clients
n
Understanding the systems and processes behind successful project delivery
n
Leading and developing people on site
n
n
As your experience and confidence grow, you'll take on greater responsibility before progressing into a Foreman or Site Manager role and eventually running your own projects.
n
About You
n
We're looking for someone who has already established themselves as a quality tradesperson and is serious about taking the next step.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
Strong and stable employment history
n
Cert IV or Diploma in Building highly regarded
n
Good communication and organisational skills
n
Genuine ambition to become a Site Manager
n
n
You don't need to know everything about running a commercial project yet. That's the point of the opportunity.
n
What matters is that you're reliable, hungry to learn, take pride in your work and are ready to start thinking like a Site Manager rather than just a tradesperson.
n
