Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd is seeking to recruit an experienced consultant to work in a team of engineering consultants specialising in acoustics. The role will suit a candidate with more than 10 years' experience. The position is based in Alexandria, Sydney, NSW.
n
Vipac is a multi-disciplinary consultancy that provides vibration, acoustics and other services to building, infrastructure, oil and gas, industrial, mining and commercial clients.
n
About You
n
We are looking for the following skills and attributes from the successful applicant, with an eagerness to learn:
n
n
A degree or post graduate qualifications in audio engineering, mechanical engineering or similar science degree;
n
The role will involve work in a broad spectrum of technical areas;
n
At least 10 years industry experience is preferred, with experience in acoustics;
n
Familiarity with proprietary instrumentation and commercial software is key;
n




Competent report writing skills;
n
Willingness to travel for field work and flexibility with working hours;
n
Strong communication skills; and
n
A team player who is able to work independently when required.
n

Project Work Will Involve
n
n
Performing acoustic analysis, modelling, problem solving on a range of projects.
n
Conduct field work as required with the use of our vast range of equipment
n
Prepare acoustic reports for external clients, with a view to meeting technical and budgetary requirements
n
Proven project management experience would be valued.
n
n
