The Opportunity
n
An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team on a full time, permanent basis. This role requires a commercially focused professional with strong technical aptitude who can effectively promote and sell complex industrial products and services.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within designated markets through consistent and credible site management as well as grow established coal accounts
n
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients through regular engagement and support.
n
Engage with CHPP Engineers, maintenance teams, and site leadership
n
Analyse customer requirements and recommend suitable technical products and solutions, support shutdowns planning, relines and wear optimization initiatives
n
Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and tender submissions
n
Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients
n
Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to ensure customer satisfaction
n




Collaborate with internal engineering and operational teams to deliver tailored solutions
n
Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and emerging industry trends
n
Meet or exceed sales targets and performance objectives
n
Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities and client communications
n
n
Skills, Experience and qualifications
n
n
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in technical or industrial sales and a Bachelor Degree in engineering or a related field, alternatively 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
n
Demonstrated ability to sell technical products or services in a B2B environment
n
Strong technical knowledge of industrial, mechanical, or engineering-related products and sales in mining and coal processing
n
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
n
Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and client requirements
n
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
n
Interpretation of drawings
n
Willing to travel
n
Solid understanding of CHPP environments, slurry systems or wear protection
n
n
