The Opportunity

Perigon Group is excited to partner with a leading ASX-listed organisation in search of a Financial Accountant. We're looking for a sharp, detail-oriented finance skilled to step in and take ownership of financial operations and reporting across the business.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare and analyse financial statements (P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow), ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policy
n
Drive budgeting and forecasting, partnering with managers to gather data, analyse variances and guide spend
n
Monitor costs, expenses and revenue trends, identifying opportunities to reduce cost, lift revenue and improve profitability
n
Own month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations, accruals and adjusting entries
n
Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
n
Improve financial systems and processes,



championing automation and supporting system upgrade or implementation projects
n
n
About You
n
n
CA/CPA qualified
n
Experience in audit preferred, suiting a first-time mover
n
Solid grasp of accounting principles, compliance and financial reporting
n
Confident across budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, with advanced Excel
n
Excellent communicator who can partner with non-finance stakeholders at all levels
n
Organised, deadline-driven and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving business
n
