LET'S EXPLORE THE ROLE

Kickstart your career in electronics, communications and broadcast technology with BAI Communications. As a Broadcast Technician Apprentice, you'll learn from experienced technicians while working on the infrastructure that connects communities across Australia.
n
You'll gain valuable hands‐on experience supporting the installation,
maintenance and repair of broadcast and communications equipment while completing a Certificate III in Electronics and Communications. This is a unique opportunity to develop practical technical skills in a field that underpins television, radio and critical communications services nationwide.
n
Positions available in Sunshine VIC, Hamersley WA,
Newcastle/Wetherill
Park NSW and Townsville QLD.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Assist qualified Broadcast Technicians with field and site‐based activities.
n
Support the installation, maintenance and repair of broadcast and communications equipment.
n
Participate in preventative maintenance and fault‐finding activities.
n
Assist with site facility management and housekeeping activities.
n
Support service restoration activities and elevate technical issues when required.
n
Provide accurate verbal and written updates to the Network Operations Centre (NOC).
n
Complete work orders, fault tickets and associated documentation.
n
Undertake technical, safety and Electro Magnetic Energy (EME) training.
n
Contribute to a safe working environment by following all HSE policies and procedures.
n
Successfully complete the Certificate III in Electronics and Communications qualification.
n

You're curious about technology, enjoy solving problems and are keen to build a career in electronics, communications or broadcast engineering. You thrive in a hands‐on environment, enjoy working outdoors and are motivated to learn from experienced professionals.

Technical Skills & Experience
n
n
Completion of Year 12 or equivalent, with robust results in English,
Mathematics and Science (Physics highly regarded).
n
Interest in electronics,
telecommunications,
engineering or technology‐based careers.
n
Ability to understand and apply technical concepts and instructions.
n
Strong computer literacy and confidence using digital tools and systems.
n
Current unrestricted driver's licence.
n
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.
n
n
