My client is a retailer located in Brisbane. They have experienced growth and are now looking for a category management professional like a senior category manager or merchandise manager with some leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Manage a small team
n
Negotiating with suppliers and other stakeholders
n
Identify opportunities across the Business for additional profit and sales contribution.
n
Maximise long term supply agreements for lowest cost of doing business
n
Maximise range that provides a competitive edge within the market.
n
Manage and implement Promotional strategies with Suppliers that communicates the benefits of the retailer
n
Manage and optimise profitability through inventory management, supplier negotiations,
product development and sourcing strategies.
n

Skills & Experience:
n
n
Knowledge of the retail market to identify opportunities for product development via Category Management principles
n
Development of Planogram principals to deliver improved product offer.
n
Proven track record of category growth.
n
Solid interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
n
Advanced analytical skills on Excel with the ability to use your findings to implement beneficial solutions.
