About the role
n
Join Calvary Central Districts Hospital as a Ward Clinical Manager, a full-time leadership opportunity responsible for the day-to-day management of a busy inpatient ward. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will lead and support a multidisciplinary team, drive excellence in patient care, oversee staffing and resources, and champion quality and safety initiatives.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, offering the opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role where you can influence patient outcomes, develop staff capability, and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the hospital.

Your main duties will include:
n

Leading and developing a high-performing nursing team, including staff mentoring, performance management, workforce planning, and professional development.
n
Driving excellence in patient care through clinical leadership, quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs,
and accreditation compliance.
n
Managing ward operations and resources, including budgets, staffing, service planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
n
n
About you
n
n
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
n
Demonstrated leadership experience in an acute hospital setting.
n
Strong clinical governance and quality improvement skills.
n
Proven ability to lead, develop and support nursing teams.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
