Operating from a large, modern manufacturing facility incorporating robotics and an in-house tool room, we are committed to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Our business operates under an ISO **** Quality Management System, working towards ISO Integrated Management System (Quality, Environmental & OH & S) and is Sedex certified.
Due to our ongoing operations, we are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Die Setter to join our manufacturing team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position for an experienced Die Setter with a solid understanding of plastic injection moulding processes, machinery and materials.
We are interested in candidates from a broad range of plastic injection moulding and manufacturing environments.
Experience with our particular machines, products or industry is not essential; however, solid injection moulding experience and the ability to independently set up and operate injection moulding machinery are essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
Setting, changing and preparing injection moulding dies and machinery for production
Setting up machines and establishing appropriate processing parameters
Starting machines and ensuring efficient transition into production
Conducting die trials for new, modified and repaired tooling
Monitoring moulding processes and product quality throughout production
Identifying and troubleshooting moulding, tooling and machinery issues
Making appropriate machine and process adjustments to maintain product quality
Working with a variety of plastic materials and understanding their different processing characteristics
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across production
Working closely with Production, Quality and our in-house Tool Room
Operating forklifts and overhead cranes as required
Completing production and quality documentation
Ensuring work is performed in accordance with ISO **** Quality Standards, company procedures and specifications
Maintaining a strong commitment to Occupational Health & Safety and safe work practices
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this position, you must have:
A minimum of 3–5 years' experience in plastic injection moulding
Demonstrated experience as an Injection Moulding Die Setter, Moulding Technician or similar hands-on injection moulding role
Proven ability to set up injection moulding machines and dies
Previous experience conducting die trials
Sound knowledge of plastics, plastic materials and injection moulding processes
Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills
The ability to identify problems and make appropriate adjustments to machinery and processes
Experience working within a manufacturing and quality-controlled environment
An understanding of and ability to work within ISO **** Quality Standards
A demonstrated commitment to Occupational Health & Safety
A current forklift licence
Experience operating overhead cranes
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
A positive, reliable and motivated approach to your work
Experience with robotics, automated manufacturing equipment or working alongside an in-house tool room would be advantageous but is not essential.
