Join the Pack!
- If you can turn zoomies into fun structured play, read dog body language like a second language & keep the pack calm, safe, and happy... we need you.
Dog & Groom is growing and we're on the hunt for an experienced Doggy Daycare Attendant to join our boutique daycare team.
This role is so much more than "playing with dogs all day" — it's about creating a safe, calm, enriching daycare experience through interactive play, smart supervision, and our high standards.
We're looking for someone confident, proactive, switched on, and genuinely passionate about animal care, cleanliness, safety, and giving every dog a brilliant day.
About the role (what your day will look like)
You'll be hands-on and engaged with the dogs throughout the day, including:
Actively facilitating group play — guiding play styles, managing energy levels, and helping dogs play appropriately
Running enrichment activities and games such as scent games, treasure hunts, puzzle toys, confidence-building activities, simple training games, and structured play rotations
Reading dog body language and stepping in early to prevent issues (redirecting, separating, settling, rotating groups when needed)
Supporting rest routines and calm-down time so dogs can reset and feel secure
Assisting with feeding and basic care routines as required
Maintaining our premium standards: cleaning, disinfecting, and keeping the daycare space spotless and safe all day
Communicating with clients in a friendly,
professional way and supporting the team in a fast-paced setting
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in a doggy daycare setting is essential
Confident handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, and personalities
Calm, capable, and quick-thinking — you can stay steady when the room gets busy
High attention to detail, hygiene, and safety - you notice the little things!
Reliable, punctual, proactive, and proud of doing things properly
Strong communication skills and a genuine team mindset
This role suits someone who:
Loves dogs and understands the responsibility that comes with group care
Enjoys being active and engaged - you'll be on your feet and 'in the mix'
Wants to be part of a high-standard workplace with structure, routine, and pride in the details
Gets satisfaction from creating a calm, safe, fun environment — not chaos
