Elite Technologies is seeking a skilled
Telecommunications/Data/MATV
Technician to join our energetic team in Melbourne, VIC ****. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting our telecommunications infrastructure. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be at the forefront of ensuring seamless connectivity and service delivery for our clients. This role is essential to our operations and directly impacts the quality of service we provide to our customer base.

What you'll be doing
n
Installing (roughing in cable ), configuring, and maintaining telecommunications equipment and systems
n
Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues with network infrastructure and communication systems
n
Testing network connections and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
n
Documenting technical work, maintenance activities, and system configurations for record-keeping
n
Collaborating with other technicians and engineering teams to resolve complex technical problems
n
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all work activities
n
Updating technical knowledge of new telecommunications technologies and industry developments
n
What we're looking for
n
Trade qualification or certification in telecommunications
n
Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) working as a Telecommunications Technician or in a similar technical role
n
Strong understanding of telecommunications systems, cables, and equipment
n
Proficiency with telecommunications testing equipment and diagnostic tools
n
Knowledge of industry safety standards and best practices
n




Excellent problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting ability
n
Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically
n
Valid driver's licence and reliable transport for site visits
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Clear communication skills and customer service orientation
n
Preferred: Experience with fibre optic installations
