About the role
n
Smart Start Interlocks is seeking a full time Collections Officer to join our team in Heidelberg West. As a Collections Officer, you will be responsible for contacting customers, negotiating payment plans, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding interlocks.
n
What you'll be doing
n
n
Proactively reach out to customers with overdue accounts
n
Negotiate and collect payment arrangements
n
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and payment plans
n
Engage our network & 3rd parties to remove interlocks
n
Provide regular reports on the status of outstanding accounts and collection efforts
n
Maintain a professional and empathetic approach when dealing with customers
n
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the collections function
n

What we're looking for

Experience in a collections role preferred
n
Robust communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations
n




Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail

Resilient and persistent, with the ability to work under pressure
