Dowerin is seeking three full time Flower Planter/Pickers to work with our client, Five Ways Flowers Pty Ltd, at their flower farm facility located at **** North Road, Devon Meadows, VIC ****. The positions are expected to commence in October and will be offered for a period of approximately nine months, with a minimum of 38 hours per week.

As a Flower Planter/Picker, you will assist with the planting, cultivation, harvesting, and packaging of flower crops, as well as other general farm duties as required. Working hours are generally Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. However, start and finish times, as well as days of work, may vary depending on weather conditions and operational requirements.

Key duties and responsibilities

Harvesting and picking of flowers
n
Planting of flower bulbs and crops
n
Pruning of flowers
n
Removing flower buds as required during growing cycle
n
Spray, wood, fertilize and water plants and shrubs
n
Packaging of harvested flowers for supply and distribution
n
Operation and basic maintenance of farm tools and machinery
n
Compliance with workplace health and safety requirements




n
Reporting of crop conditions, equipment faults or safety concerns to the Farm Manager
n
Assisting with general farm maintenance tasks as directed
n

Skills and Experience Essential
n
n
Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions
n
Capacity to work efficiently and accurately with attention to quality
n
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
n
Reliable, punctual and committed to completing assigned tasks
n
Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
n
n
Desirable
n
n
At least three months experience in horticulture, agriculture or related outdoor industry
n
Familiarity with basic farm machinery and equipment
n
Basic understanding of farm safety practices
n
n
Training and upskilling opportunities will be provided to support ongoing development and growth within the role. Pay Base pay is $***** per hour (Level 2, Full time Employee under the Horticulture Award MA******), with additional earnings available through applicable piece rates.
