Be familiar working with students with diverse learning needs as outlined by the Disability Act, and follow the policies and procedures as outlined by Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD)
n
Demonstrate a commitment to the mission of Catholic Education
n
Assist students to access learning spaces and the opportunities to engage in activities across the school
n
Build rapport with students and their parents/carers so as to better understand the implications of individual student needs within the college environment
n
Assist with providing the students with opportunities to develop personal, social and independent learning skills
n
Support students as they transition into varying learning contexts including, inquiry learning spaces within the school, ensuring that appropriate learning adjustments are embedded
n
Assist students to access on site and off-site activities
n
Be willing to undertake ongoing qualified learning and training in support of a student's personalised plan
n
