The Role
n
n
Associate or Senior Associate role within a Sydney based intellectual property team
n
Working across complex IP litigation and strategic advisory matters
n
Acting on disputes involving patents, trademarks, copyright and brand protection
n
Involvement in high value, high profile litigation and multi-jurisdictional matters
n
Supporting IP asset creation, commercialisation and protection strategies
n
Drafting pleadings, submissions and complex legal documentation
n
Managing multiple matters in a fast paced environment
n
Working closely with leading partners on market leading cases
n
Exposure to cross-border matters through a global network
n
Opportunity to develop client relationships and contribute to business development
n

The Candidate
n
n
Admitted lawyer with 4+ years post admission experience
n
Strong intellectual property background gained within a reputable practice
n
Significant experience in IP litigation is essential
n
Patent litigation experience is advantageous but not required
n
Technically strong with excellent drafting and analytical skills
n
Able to manage competing priorities in a high demand environment
n
Strong organisational and time management capability
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Commercially aware with a proactive and driven approach
n
High level of intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning
n
Exposure to complex, high profile IP disputes and advisory work
n
