n We are seeking a Wound Care Nurse to work in a part time (48 hours/fortnight) capacity based at Nhill.

About The Role
n
n
The Clinical Consultant Wound Care Nurse is responsible for maximising positive patient outcomes by implementing best practices in Skin Integrity, Pressure Injury Prevention and Management across West Wimmera Health Service.
n
n
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
n
Essential
n
n
A Registered Nurse with current APHRA registration.
n
Have a post graduate qualification in Wound Management.
n
Effective communication and organisational skills.
n
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary health team and in collaboration with groups and individuals.
n
Have excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to respond to the client in a sensitive manner and adhere to issues of confidentiality.
n
Have valuable computer skills including the ability to develop quality reports within designated time frames.
n
Competence in using computer programs including Microsoft Office Software, Excel,



Outlook and other databases relevant to the practice area.
n

Desirable
n
n
Hold, or working towards, a tertiary qualification in Wound Management.
n
Have previous experience working in Wound Care Management position or field.
n
A certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
n
n
PRE-REQUISITES
n
n
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
n
Working with Children Check.
n
Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives.
n
Australian Driver's Licence
n
n
KEY RESPONSBILITIES

n
Have advanced and current clinical knowledge, skills and experience in the area of wound management.
n
Demonstrate the ability to develop, deliver and evaluate clinical care.
n
Have an understanding of evidenced based practice and the ability to monitor and evaluate care.
n
To provide wound management education to staff, clients, carers and the wider community.
n
