About the Role
n
We are seeking an experienced Senior Heritage Consultant to join the Heritage team and play a key role in the successful delivery of heritage projects.
n
Reporting to the Regional Lead - Heritage, you will combine technical heritage expertise, project management, client relationship management and team leadership, while supporting the continued growth and development of the Heritage practice.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Heritage Consultant looking to step into a senior position with greater responsibility across projects, clients and team development.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the delivery of heritage projects within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality requirements
n
Plan projects, coordinate resources and ensure effective project execution
n
Manage project budgets, deadlines, invoicing and overall project progress
n
Build and maintain robust relationships with clients and key stakeholders
n
Coordinate internal teams and resources to ensure the right people are allocated to each project
n
Participate in tenders, including preparation, design, submission and review
n
Maintain high standards of technical quality and project delivery
n
Support the Regional Lead with mentoring and coaching of junior and developing team members
n
Identify training and development opportunities across the Heritage team
n
Contribute to continuous improvement, technical development and the growth of the Heritage practice
n




Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant quality, safety and environmental management systems
n
Maintain current professional qualifications and industry knowledge
n
n
About You
n
You will be an experienced Heritage professional with a strong consulting background and the ability to take ownership of projects while building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in Heritage, Archaeology, History, Anthropology or a related discipline
n
Demonstrated experience within heritage consulting or a related environment
n
Strong project management and project delivery experience
n
Experience managing project budgets, deadlines and resources
n
Strong knowledge of relevant heritage legislation, policies and regulatory frameworks
n
Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders
n
Exposure to tender preparation and submission processes
n
Previous experience mentoring, coaching or developing junior staff
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
n
A collaborative and proactive approach to project delivery
n
