JR's Mowers & Motorcycle is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Motorcycle Mechanic to join their team in Bairnsdale VIC. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
n
n
Dismantle engines and repair or replace defective parts, such as magnetos, carburettors, and generators.
n
Remove cylinder heads, grind valves, and scrape off carbon, and replace defective valves, pistons, cylinders, and rings, using hand tools and power tools.
n
Repair or replace other parts, such as headlights, horns, handlebar controls, gasoline and oil tanks, starters, and mufflers.
n
Repair and adjust motorcycle subassemblies such as forks, transmissions, brakes, and drive chains, according to specifications.
n
Replace defective parts, using hand tools, Arbor presses, versatile power presses, or power tools.
n
Reassemble and test subassembly units.
n




Disassemble subassembly units and examine condition, movement, or alignment of parts visually or using gauges.
n

Skills and Abilities:
n
n
Certificate III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
n
Ideally have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Motorcycle Mechanic
n
The ability to work in a team environment
n
n
