Paralegal (Commercial
Litigation/Insolvency)

SLF Lawyers are excited to be recruiting for our Commercial Litigation & Insolvency practice.
n
We are looking for an enthusiastic Paralegal / Senior Paralegal to join our Commercial Litigation and Insolvency team, based in either our Brisbane, Gold Coast or Melbourne office.
n
Your recent role
n
You will bring a positive and proactive approach to exceptional client service and producing high quality work. Your variety of work will include:
n
n
Delivering high quality, accurate work while managing deadlines and competing priorities.
n
Taking carriage of commercial and financial recovery matters.
n
Letters of demand, claims and statement of claims, and applications for default judgment for debt recovery matters, under the supervision of Senior Lawyers and Partners.
n
Post judgment debt recovery and enforcement, including enforcement hearings, bankruptcy notices, warrants to seize and sell property, writs, garnishees.
n
Producing high quality work for recovery files and achieving turnaround times in a methodical, efficient and professional way.
n
Utilising client portals and communicating with clients to provide status updates and seeking instructions.
n
Assisting with establishing effective work practices to ensure budget and recovery targets are met.
n
General administration such as softcopy and hardcopy filing, archiving, photocopying, scanning and email correspondence.

You will bring to the role:
n
n




Demonstrated knowledge and experience in commercial litigation and general commercial debt recovery work
n
A proactive, pragmatic and client-focused approach
n
Exceptional communication and client service
n
Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively both independently and within a team.
n
Confidence in your communications and the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues
n
Confidence with a range of technology and in learning new systems
n
Strong time management, planning and organisational skills
n
Experience using practice management systems (including Actionstep & LEAP) highly regarded but not essential
n
