Key Responsibilities
n
About the Role
n
This role will involve the execution of the following duties and responsibilities but are not limited:
n
n
Examining drawings, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installed.
n
Erecting, testing and maintaining aerial and underground wires and cables, and radio and mobile phone antennas.
n
Locating faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters and transmission measuring equipment
n
Attaching wires and cables to appliances
n
Adjusting, replacing and repairing faulty items,



and testing equipment using electronic instruments.
n
Installing cabling for telephone, radio and computer transmission.
n
Joining cables and sealing sheaths with lead and thermoplastic
n
Installing telecommunications equipment and appliances such as telephones, switchboards and data transmission equipment.
n
Installing and maintaining equipment for 4G, and 5G technologies.
n
Installation and Terminating Hybriflex Cables & Coaxial feeder cables/tails, earthing, cable trays, diplexers, and combiners ove the towers.
n
Installation, Testing and commissioning of Microwave dishes, panning, alignment, and full installs.
n
n
Skill & Experience
n
Successful candidates will have the following
n
n
TPG, Telstra, and Optus 3G/4G/5G experience highly regarded.
n
2 years of work experience within the Telecommunication industry.
n
Experienced in Nokia and Ericsson.
n
BTS install and commissioning experience.
n
Proven experience in completing handover documentation in office.
n
Experience in fault finding.
n
RF Electromagnetic Radiation Hazard (RADHAZ) Awareness;
n
Optus, Vodafone, and Telstra online induction.
n
