Senior Cook/Chef Required for Busy Hotel

We are a busy pub looking for a senior cook/chef with real experience in pan, grill & cold larder:
n
Minimum 5+ years hands on experience with pan & grill sections
n
Must be living in Australia & available to come for a trial
n
Salary negotiable, depending on experience
n
Must have qualification in Certificate III & IV Commercial Cookery
n
Must have Skills Assessment for cook/chef
n
Sponsorship available for the right candidate
n
Versatile and available to work days, nights & weekends
n
Great team work & communication skills
n
Main Duties:
n
n
- Preparing, cook & serve food according to menu guidelines and recipes and in line with Head Chef requirements
n
- Be aware of stock levels and keep wastage to a minimum
n
- Demonstrate techniques & advise on cooking procedures to lower level staff
n




- Direct the activities of kitchen attendants & apprentices while on shift
n
- Keep kitchen & food storage areas clean & hygienic in line with Food Safety legislation as required
n
- Assist with the receipt of and account for supplies & deliveries while on shift, including ensuring quality & correct storage
n
- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
n
- Assist with menu planning
n
- Comply with all food handling and food safety policies and procedures and report any incidents to the Head Chef
n
