About the Role
n
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.
n
We are currently looking to fill 1 permanent part time position. You must be available for all shifts listed below:
n
Week 1
n
Tuesday 2pm to 8pm
n
Wednesday 6am to 10am
n
Thursday 6am to 10am
n
Friday 6am to 10am
n
Week 2
n
Monday 6am to 10am
n
Tuesday 6am to 2pm
n
Wednesday 6am to 10am
n
Friday 6am to 10am
n
Sunday 6am to 2pm
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA)
n
Work within a high medical property, providing medication assistance, personal care, complex bowel support
n
Wheelchair assistance
n
Support clients who mainly enjoy spending time in the comfort of their own home
n
Track and document the changing needs of clients through thorough record-keeping
n
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and your team
n
Advocate for client choice and control in a way that is safe and compliant
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
n
An unrestricted New South Wales driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle is required
n
Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
n
A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011
n
n
Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
n

Pay rates starting from $***** as per the SCHADS Award
n
