Disability Support Worker – | South Yarra

Livability Services is seeking a compassionate, reliable and physically active Disability Support Worker to provide individual support to a client in South Yarra.
n
Shifts
n
This casual position currently includes two regular weekly shifts:
n

Monday afternoon
n
Friday morning
n
n
Applicants must be consistently available for both shifts.
n
About the role
n
You will provide respectful, person-centred support that promotes the client's wellbeing, independence and participation in everyday life.
n
The successful applicant will understand mental health and psychosocial support and be able to build a positive, trusting relationship with the client. The role requires someone who communicates clearly, remains calm and patient, and can provide reliable support while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
n
About you
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Experience supporting people with mental health or psychosocial needs
n
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
n
A calm,



patient and empathetic approach
n
The physical capacity to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role
n
The ability to build trust while maintaining qualified boundaries
n
Reliability and consistent availability
n
A Certificate III or IV in Mental Health, Disability Support, Individual Support or a related field—highly regarded but not essential
n
n
Essential requirements

The successful applicant must have, or be willing to obtain:

NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
Appropriate working rights in Australia
