Job Description
The Laboratory Manager oversees all operational, technical, and quality functions within the QCT laboratory. This role ensures the laboratory operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with NATA accreditation requirements, ISO/IEC ***** standards, and Cordwell's Group policies.

The Laboratory Manager is responsible for workflow planning, staff competency, equipment management, quality assurance, and maintaining audit‐ready conditions. The role provides leadership, strategic direction, and technical oversight to ensure accurate, reliable, and defensible testing outcomes.

1. Required Skills & Qualifications
n
n
Must have MSL***** Diploma of Laboratory Technology as a minimum, MSL***** Advanced Diploma of Laboratory Management preferred.
n
A solid understanding of soil mechanics and construction materials (CMT) testing products (CMT)
n
Proficient in using Laboratory Management Systems (LMSs) to manage testing operations, samples, results, reporting, and quality records, particularly Geotester
n




Must hold a Radiation Use Licence
n
Extensive experience in accredited laboratory environments
n
Strong understanding of ISO/IEC ***** and NATA accreditation requirements
n
Proven leadership and team management skills
n
Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and decision‐making capability
n
Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‐quality outcomes
n
