Rice Construction Group Pty Ltd is an award-winning, family-owned construction company with offices in Armidale and Tamworth. We're seeking an experienced full time Leading Hand Carpenter to join our Armidale team.

This is a genuine opportunity for a skilled carpenter looking to step up and take their next move, leading the carpentry based aspects of our projects. You'll be hands on, out in front and part of a company building some of the region's most exciting and diverse projects. Key Responsibilities
n

Take the lead on the carpentry based aspects of residential and commercial projects
n
Lead and coordinate on-site carpentry crews to deliver high-quality work safely and on schedule
n
Set out and supervise carpentry works
n
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
n
Mentor and teach our apprentices, helping develop the next generation of tradespeople
n
Liaise with site supervisors and project managers on programming, quality, and resourcing
n
Maintain a safe, productive,



and positive site culture
n

What We Are Looking For
n
n
Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent qualification)
n
Solid carpentry experience of 5 years and the drive to step up into a leadership role
n
Strong ability to set out, plan, and problem solve on site
n
A genuine willingness to teach and mentor apprentices
n
Excellent communication and leadership skills
n
High standards in quality, safety, and attention to detail
n
White Card, driver's licence, reliable transport
n
