Role Overview
n
This is a newly created, high-visibility role established to support the company's expansion and represents a genuine opportunity to build and shape the function from the ground up.
n
The successful candidate will be structured, accountable, and bring momentum to an area that will grow into a larger team as the business scales. This is an office-based role, working from our Sydney CBD office.
n
This role is ideal for a highly organised, diligent self-starter who is comfortable taking ownership of a process, identifying gaps, and implementing improvements without waiting to be told what to do.

Key responsibilities include:

Own and maintain visibility over the status of all brokers onboarding applications from initiation through to completion, using clear tracking systems and reporting.
n
Manage the full pipeline of onboarding applications, ensuring all required documentation, approvals, and steps are progressed accurately and efficiently.
n
Proactively chase outstanding items, follow up with all relevant parties, and ensure no application stalls or falls through the cracks.
n
Act as the primary point of contact between Nine Mile traders and external broker firms,



ensuring clear, timely, and professional communication in both directions.
n
Assess and prioritise onboarding activity according to evolving business and trading requirements, balancing competing demands to protect critical timelines.
n
Identify potential bottlenecks or risks to onboarding timelines early and take proactive action to resolve them before they impact the business.
n
Assist with Issuer listings on the ASX and Cboe, supporting the coordination and progression of listing‐related requirements.
n
Driving key strategic initiatives across the business.
n
Shape and define the onboarding function as the company grows, laying the groundwork for what is expected to become a team function, including future process documentation and handover materials.

What You Will Bring
n
n
Prior experience in broker onboarding, client onboarding, KYC/AML processes, or a related
operations/compliance
function.
n
Experience working within financial services, trading, or brokerage environments.
n
Familiarity with onboarding or workflow tracking systems (e.g. CRM, ticketing, or project management tools).
n
Highly diligent, detail-oriented, and organised, with a strong ability to manage multiple applications and priorities simultaneously.
n
Excellent project management skills, with a track record of tracking complex, multi-step processes to completion.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise professionally with both internal traders and external broker firms.
n
Ability to prioritise effectively based on shifting business needs.
