About the Opportunity
n
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Trades Assistant to join our Maintenance team at our Toolleen, Victoria site.
n
This is a full-time position (42 hours per week) with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
n
Roster
n
n
Tuesday to Saturday – ****am starts
n
n
Working alongside our experienced Maintenance team, you'll play a key role in maintaining site buildings, equipment and infrastructure, ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and has experience using tools, machinery and workshop equipment.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assist with the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment and infrastructure.
n
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
n
Assist with preventative and breakdown maintenance.
n
Support repairs to machinery and mechanical equipment.
n
Complete general maintenance, repairs and site housekeeping.
n
Assist with basic welding and fabrication tasks where required.
n
Maintain workshop tools,



equipment and spare parts.
n
Work safely while following all company policies, procedures and biosecurity requirements.
n
Support the Maintenance team with additional duties as required.
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Previous experience as a Trades Assistant, Maintenance Assistant, Farm Hand or similar hands-on role.
n
Experience using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
n
Experience working on machinery or mechanical equipment.
n
Welding and fabrication experience is highly regarded but not essential.
n
The ability to work independently and within a team.
n
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
n
A current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
n
The ability to perform physically demanding work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
n
n
Mandatory Requirements
n
To be considered for this role, applicants must:

Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
n
Successfully complete a pre-employment Medical Assessment, including a Drug & Alcohol screening.
n
Be willing to work in a piggery environment and comply with all biosecurity and animal welfare requirements.
n
Be available to commence as soon as possible.
