Balgownie Estate Resort & Spa in the beautiful Yarra Valley Wine region are seeking a Casual Kitchen Attendant to join our team.
n
The Role:
n
n
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas, including counters, sinks, and storage areas.
n
Operate and clean kitchen equipment and utensils according to established procedures.
n
Dispose of waste and manage recycling according to environmental and health regulations.
n
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes under the guidance of chefs or kitchen supervisors.
n
Assist in monitoring inventory levels of crockery, chemicals, storage containers and supplies.
n
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including personal hygiene, handwashing, and sanitation procedures.
n




Ensure that all food items are stored at appropriate temperatures and handle food in a protected manner to prevent contamination.
n
Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
n
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
n
