Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Drafter to join our team. Initially a 3-6 month contract basis. As a Mechanical Design Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and schematics to support the development and production of mechanical systems and components. This is a contract role located in Belrose, NSW.

The contract duration for this role is 3-6 months.

What you'll be doing
n
Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical components, assemblies, some piping and structural design, walkways, ladders, chutes, materials handling equipment.
n
Develop detailed design documentation including part lists, assembly drawings, and manufacturing specifications
n
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to ensure design intent is accurately captured and communicated
n
Maintain version control and document management for all design outputs
n
Provide technical support and clarification to manufacturing and assembly teams
n
Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for mechanical design and drafting
n
What we're looking for
n




Minimum 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Design Drafter or Mechanical Draftsperson
n
Proficient in the use of 2D and 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor
n
Proficiency in any of the following CAD software platforms is acceptable: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor
n
Robust understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes
n
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately to specifications
n
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
n
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
