Newtown Neighbourhood Centre (NNC), is a highly regarded community organisation located in the heart of the Inner West. We are seeking to recruit a friendly and outgoing Social Support Group Coordinator to join our Aged Services team and faciliate a range of engaging and fun social activities for seniors from the CFFYugoslavia.
n
We are looking for someone who has:
n
n
Commitment to the values of Newtown Neighbourhood Centre.
n
Relevant Tertiary qualifications and/or minimum 3 years experienceworking with older people
n




Demonstrated experience in the planning and implementation of group programs for older people.
n
Demonstrated experience in carrying out risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
n
Demonstrated capacity to manage, support and coordinate a small team of staff and volunteers.
n
High level written and verbal communications skill.
n
Demonstrated understanding of Cultural Safety issues and diversity.
n
Commitment to ensuring high levels of health and safety for staff, volunteers and clients.
n
A current driver's licence and safe driving record.
n
Ability to communicate fluentlyin Croation and/or Serbian.
n
n
About the Opportunity

14 hours per week across 2 x days (Mondays and first Thursday of the month essential)
n
Above award conditions and pay (SCHADsAward, Level 4 -hourly rate based on 35 hour working week, plus salary packaging, additional leave and
flextimearrangements
available)
