+ 3.6 weeks p.a. leavePlus Salary Sacrificing options may be availableAbout your opportunity:The role of the Staff Specialist is to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit the patients / clients of the THHS. This includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future.The successful applicant will lead the Community Geriatrics and Interim Beds with the assistance of Community Geriatrics Registrar and MDT. The successful candidate will also be on-call on a rotational basis and provide internal leave relieving.The staff specialist will be involved in delivering education and supervision to undergraduate medical students from the James Cook University, to interns and RMOs and to basic and advance physician trainees of
RACP.Requirements:Mandatory
qualifications and proof of registration (if
applicable)Specialist
Registration You will hold Geriatric Medicine specialist registration (or be eligible to hold) with AHPRA. Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).Travel is a requirement of this position.This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.Probation period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted, incuding Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening.Please refer to the Role Description for further
