The Museum Experience team is responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging and accessible visitor
n experiences. From visitor services to a range of tours, the Museum Experience team ensures that every
n visitor encounter is welcoming, informative and memorable.
n
The Bookings and Senior Museum Experience Officer provides operational and administrative support to
n the Museum Experience team by managing tour bookings, delivering client-focused visitor services, and
n ensuring the efficient scheduling of tours and programs. The role combines administrative oversight of
n tour bookings with frontline engagement with visitors, including guiding tours and supporting the training
n and development of Museum Experience Officers.
n
Duties will include booking administration, assisting with team scheduling, operational support through on
n the-floor visitor services, facilitating tours, assisting with team training, stakeholder engagement, as well
n as minor project work.
n
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES
n
Under the direction of the Manager Museum Experience, the Bookings and Senior Museum Experience
n Officer will be required to:
n
n
Provide high-quality customer service across multiple channels (phone, email and online systems) and in person.
n
Manage public visitor bookings enquiries in line with established procedures, maintaining accurate records to support operational requirements.
n
With guidance, coordinate tour schedules within defined capacity,
staffing and operational guidelines; monitoring forward bookings and flagging scheduling issues to leadership.
n
Act as a senior member of the Museum Experience team, supporting the delivery of tours to a high standard, assisting with training and stakeholder engagement.
n
Undertake a range of administrative tasks and minor project work to support the Museum Experience team including maintaining data and creating resources using a variety of software applications.
n
Advocate MoAD tours and programs in industry trade shows, as required.
n

To be successful for this role you will need to demonstrate:
n
n
Well-developed time management skills, including the ability to organise workloads and meet competing priorities with limited supervision.
n
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a small team, share knowledge, show initiative and take responsibility for professional development.
n
Ability to develop and deliver methods for recording, maintaining and filing data essential for meeting KPI reports and bookings administration.
n
Well-developed written and oral communication skills with proven ability to build and sustain positive working relationships, deliver high-quality onsite tours and customer service.
n
Ability to use a range of IT applications and the capability to quickly acquire knowledge of other relevant systems.
n

ELIGIBILITY
n
To be eligible for this position at MoAD, applicants must:
n
n
be an Australian Citizen; and
n
have a security clearance or be willing to undertake the process to obtain a baseline clearance (after commencement); and
n
have, or be willing to undertake the process to obtain, a Working with Vulnerable People registration; and
n
be willing to provide identity documents and undergo an identity pre-employment check through a Document Verification Service, if you are deemed to be the successful candidate.
