An exciting opportunity exists to join a well-capitalised renewable energy platform with a growing Australian footprint and a mandate to develop, construct and operate utility-scale energy infrastructure.
n
With an expanding pipeline of wind, solar and battery storage projects, the business is seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead the environmental approvals, permitting and broader development process across a portfolio of projects from early-stage origination through to construction readiness.
n
This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly experienced team and play a key role in delivering projects that will contribute to Australia's energy transition.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the development and execution of environmental approvals and permitting strategies across utility-scale renewable energy projects.
n
Manage planning and environmental assessment processes, including state and federal approvals pathways.
n
Coordinate technical workstreams including ecology, heritage, noise, visual impact, hydrology, traffic, bushfire and other specialist studies.
n
Oversee the preparation and submission of planning applications, environmental impact assessments and supporting documentation.
n
Manage external consultants and technical advisors to ensure high-quality, commercially focused project outcomes.
n
Build and maintain productive relationships with government agencies, regulators, local councils, landholders and key community stakeholders.
n
Work closely with engineering, grid, commercial and delivery teams to integrate development activities and manage project risks.
n
Support land acquisition, stakeholder engagement and commercial negotiations where required.
n
Identify development risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies to maintain project schedules.
n
Contribute to investment decisions by providing development,
planning and permitting insights to internal stakeholders.
n
Support projects through financial close and into construction, ensuring compliance with development approvals and permit conditions.
n

About You
n
n
Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Engineering, Geography, Property, Town Planning or a related discipline.
n
Strong understanding of environmental approvals and planning frameworks, ideally within Victoria and broader Australian jurisdictions.
n
Experience managing complex technical and environmental consultant workstreams.
n
Proven ability to navigate regulatory and stakeholder environments while balancing commercial objectives.
n
Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
n
Solid communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
n
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
n
Utility-scale wind, solar and/or battery energy storage projects.
n
Experience with EPBC, Planning and Environment Act and other relevant state and federal approvals processes.
n
Community and stakeholder engagement across regional development projects.
n
Exposure to projects progressing through to financial close and construction.
n
