Join an established Brisbane commercial law firm and work within an experienced succession team across estate planning, estate administration and related advisory matters.
n
Working directly with a Partner, Senior Associate and Consultant, you will have the support to strengthen your technical skills while taking greater ownership of files and client relationships.
n
This role will suit a Wills & Estates Lawyer who has built a solid foundation and is ready for more responsibility, broader exposure and the opportunity to continue progressing within a well-established practice.
n
The Role
n
You will work across a varied range of matters, including:
n
n
Drafting wills, including testamentary trust wills
n
Preparing enduring powers of attorney and related estate planning documents
n
Advising clients on estate planning and succession strategies
n
Managing deceased estate administration matters
n
Reviewing family trusts, company structures and asset arrangements
n
Preparing supporting succession and asset planning documentation
n
Liaising directly with clients, accountants and other qualified advisers
n
Conducting client meetings and progressing matters from initial instructions through to completion
n
Managing your own files with support on more complex matters
n
Assisting with estate and succession disputes where required
n
n
The core focus of the role is estate planning, succession advice and estate administration,



with some exposure to related disputes matters.
n
About You
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Approximately 2–4 years' PAE, though candidates with less PAE and a genuine interest in estate planning are encouraged to apply
n
Practical experience in Wills & Estates
n
Exposure to estate planning and deceased estate administration
n
Strong drafting and attention to detail
n
Sound file management skills
n
Confidence communicating directly with clients
n
A professional and empathetic approach
n
A genuine interest in building your career in succession law
n
n
You will be supported on more complex matters while continuing to develop the confidence and capability to manage files independently.
