Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Dental Hygienist/Oral Health Therapist to join our long-standing practice in Essendon, VIC. Initially working 1 day/ week and building to 2-3 days part time for the right person. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality oral care and education to our valued patients.

What you'll be doing
n
Conducting comprehensive oral health assessments and developing personalised treatment plans and treatment coordinating
n
Performing a range of preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene treatments, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride applications
n
Educating patients on effective oral hygiene practices and promoting good dental health
n
Collaborating with the dentists to ensure seamless, comprehensive patient care
n
Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
n
Adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensuring a safe, clean clinical environment
n
What we're looking for
n
Registered Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist qualification
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, in a private dental practice
n
Strong clinical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
n
Adult scope, experience in periodonal disease management, restorative dentistry and aligner therapy
n




Confidence and experience with Airflow, digital scanners, rubber dam and ability to work solo for hygiene appointments
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to educate and motivate patients
n
Proficiency in using dental software and computer systems
n
A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to contribute to the practice's success
