SAC Facades is establishing a recent window and door fabrication facility in western Adelaide and is looking for an experienced Aluminium Fabricator / Assembler to join the team.
n
This is a factory-based role focused on the fabrication and assembly of aluminium window frames, door frames, louvres and associated metal components for commercial projects.
n
This is not a glazing or site installation role.
n
The role
n
Your work may include:
n
n
cutting and preparing aluminium extrusions;
n
fabricating aluminium window and door frames;
n
assembling frames, louvres and associated components;
n
measuring, marking, drilling, routing and machining aluminium;
n
fitting hardware and frame components;
n
reading fabrication drawings, cutting lists and production instructions;
n
operating saws, routers and other fabrication equipment;
n
operating or learning to operate CNC machinery;
n
checking dimensions, alignment and finished quality;
n
identifying damaged, incorrect or non-conforming materials;
n
packing completed assemblies for transport; and
n
maintaining a clean, organised and safe factory environment.

n
The position is focused on aluminium frame fabrication and assembly. It does not include glass cutting,
glazing or site installation.
n
About you
n
You may have experience in:
n
n
aluminium window and door fabrication;
n
commercial window manufacturing;
n
aluminium or light metal fabrication;
n
louvre or facade component manufacturing;
n
CNC machining;
n
factory assembly; or
n
a similar manufacturing environment requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
n
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
experience working with aluminium extrusions and components;
n
the ability to read drawings, measurements and cutting lists;
n
confidence using hand tools and fabrication machinery;
n
strong attention to dimensions, finish and assembly quality;
n
an understanding of safe machinery and factory practices;
n
reliable attendance and a practical approach to work; and
n
Australian working rights.
n
n
CNC experience will be highly regarded but is not essential for someone with strong aluminium fabrication or assembly experience.
n
A forklift licence, manufacturing qualification or relevant trade background will also be viewed favourably.
n
