Richard Crookes Constructions (RCC) is seeking an experienced Services Manager to join our Major Projects team delivering the landmark AIS Podium Project in Canberra.
n
This is more than another construction project.
n
The AIS Podium Project represents a once-in-a-generation redevelopment of the Australian Institute of Sport campus and the most significant upgrade to the iconic site since it was established in the ****s.
n
Backed by a $***** million Australian Government investment, the project forms part of Phase 1 of the broader AIS Site Masterplan and will create contemporary, high-performance facilities designed to support athlete safety, wellbeing and world-class performance on the road to Brisbane **** and beyond.
n
For an experienced Services Manager, this is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering a complex, high-profile project with a genuine national legacy.

The Project
n
The AIS Podium Project will deliver three world-class facilities:
n
Testing & Training Centre
n
A new state-of-the-art facility providing advanced equipment and environments to support athlete testing, training and development.
n
Indoor Sports Dome
n
A major indoor sports facility providing 24/7, all-weather training capability across multiple sporting disciplines.
n
AIS Athletes Village
n
A new multi-storey, fully Para‐accessible accommodation facility housing up to 200 people and supporting Australia's elite athletes on campus.
n
The Opportunity
n
As Services Manager, you'll take a leadership role in the coordination and delivery of building services across this technically complex Major Project.
n
Working closely with the broader project leadership team, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders, you'll ensure services are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered to the quality and performance standards required.
n
You'll bring both technical expertise and strong leadership, helping drive collaboration across the project and ensuring services requirements are integrated successfully throughout delivery.
n
RCC's Services Manager position is designed as a senior role within the services function, requiring the ability to lead teams, optimise delivery and provide strategic guidance on services-related decisions.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead and oversee building services delivery across the project
n
Coordinate services contractors, consultants and internal project teams
n
Drive services planning, coordination and integration across construction activities
n
Manage services-related contracts and ensure compliance with project requirements
n
Identify risks, constraints and opportunities early and drive practical solutions
n
Maintain strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholders
n
Drive quality assurance and ensure services are delivered to the required standards
n
Lead, mentor and support members of the services team
n
Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and delivery
n
Work collaboratively across project, safety, commercial and operational teams
n
Support commissioning, completion and successful handover of building services
n
n
The RCC position description places particular emphasis on service delivery, client relationships, quality assurance, team leadership and contract management, along with continuous improvement throughout delivery.

About You
n
We're looking for an experienced Services Manager who has successfully delivered services across large-scale, technically complex construction projects and enjoys being part of a collaborative project environment.
n
n
5+ years' experience within senior-level services management
n
Strong building services experience within the construction industry
n
Experience delivering large-scale commercial, health, education, sporting or similarly complex projects
n
A strong understanding of building services coordination, installation, commissioning and handover
n
Demonstrated experience leading and developing services teams
n
Strong subcontractor, consultant and stakeholder management capability
n
Excellent planning, coordination and problem‐solving skills
n
Solid commercial awareness and understanding of services contracts
n
Confident communication and leadership skills
n
A Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
n
n
The formal RCC position description requires a relevant degree and 5+ years' experience in a senior services management role.
