The Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our growing Darwin team.
This is an exciting chance to play a pivotal role in establishing and expanding our electrical services capability as part of Griffin Marine's diverse and evolving service to start up our electrical capabilities in the NT.
Working across a diverse range of marine, industrial, commercial and workshop projects.
You will be responsible for electrical installation, maintenance, fault-finding, testing, repairs and commissioning while working alongside a skilled and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, inspect, test and repair electrical systems, equipment and components
Diagnose and fault-find electrical issues using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment
Perform electrical testing, verification and commissioning activities
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and technical specifications
Complete planned preventative and corrective maintenance activities
Install and maintain cabling, switchboards, control systems, motors,
pumps and associated electrical equipment
Follow electrical isolation, lock-out/tag-out and safe energisation procedures
Complete service records, test sheets, commissioning reports and other required documentation
Support project work, shutdowns, breakdown response and maintenance activities as required
Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety, housekeeping and professionalism
Work collaboratively with supervisors, project teams, clients and other trades
About You
Essential Requirements
Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE*****) or an equivalent Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification
Current unrestricted Electrical Work Licence applicable to the Northern Territory
Demonstrated experience in electrical installation, maintenance, testing, fault-finding, repairs and commissioning
Experience working in industrial, commercial, marine, defence or similar environments
Strong knowledge of electrical safety requirements, isolation procedures and lock-out/tag-out practices
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
Competency using electrical testing instruments and diagnostic equipment
Current Construction White Card
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team
A strong commitment to safety, quality and professional workmanship
Desirable
Electrical Nominee
Current First Aid, CPR and Low Voltage Rescue
Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
EWP Licence
Forklift, Dogging, Rigging or Crane tickets
Previous experience working in marine or defence environments
Experience using preventative maintenance systems and service reporting software
