The Biodiversity Coordination Unit (BCU), within the
Conservation and Wildlife Branch, is responsible for the
preparation of the Biodiversity Act and the undertaking of targeted
action using evidence-based priorities and communicating these.
The
BCU Coordinator is responsible for providing high level program
development, planning and coordination for the BCU.
The role has a
priority focus on providing strategic thought leadership to inform
the direction of the forward plan for biodiversity initiatives,
providing executive support and coordination for the internal
steering committee and external panel of experts that guide the
strategy, and project management and coordination to ensure
delivery of the program.

Contract: Temporary Backfill Contract up to 6
months
Desirable Qualifications:
An appropriate degree/qualification in natural resources
management, project management, business management or similar
is desirable.
Experience working with Aboriginal Communities.
Special Conditions:
May be required to participate in emergency preparedness,
response and recovery activities required by government
agencies.
You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or
provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows
you to work in Australia.
Willingness and ability to safely operate a 4WD.
A successful applicant who is not currently employed by the
Department for Environment and Water will be required to have an
original photo identification document sighted and provide a valid
Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) issued within
the last 12 months.

Remuneration: ASO7 ($116,089 min - $125,490
max) p.a.
