Boddington Hotel and Accommodation is seeking an experienced and reliable Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled chef looking for a stable position in a friendly country hotel.
The role is available on either a drive-in, drive-out or live-in basis, with accommodation provided on-site.
Key duties
Assist the Head Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen
Prepare and present high-quality meals consistently
Supervise and support kitchen staff during service
Help develop menus and daily specials
Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation
Manage stock levels and assist with ordering
Minimise food waste and control kitchen costs
Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards are maintained
Assist with staff training and kitchen rostering
Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
About you




Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an experienced Chef de Partie ready to step up
Strong cooking, organisation and time-management skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen
Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
Reliable, qualified and able to work as part of a team
Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
Relevant cookery qualifications are preferred
What we offer
Salary of $70,000–$75,000, depending on experience
