CQ Eye is seeking a Clinical Assistant to join our team.

Applicants will work alongsideother clinical staff, as well as a number of administrative staff and must therefore be able to work as part of a team and have a friendly and positive disposition
n
This position involves:
n
Assisting the doctor in all aspects of patient care to enable productive and effective patient management
n
Consultations with patients to carryout screeningtests and medical history
n
Administration tasks as required
n
Maintaining medical stock supplies
n
Preparation of surgical equipment for sterilisation
n
Setting up and assisting the doctor during minor surgical procedures performed within the clinic
n
This is a full time position, requiring some longer days at times and travel (paid) to our Gladstone clinic 1-2 days a fortnight.



There is generally no weekend work though, and days/afternoons are rostered off to compensate for travel and longer days where necessary.

Full training and support will be provided.
n
Whilst healthcare based experience is preferred; such as - Orthoptic, Ophthalmic assisting, paramedics, nursing, dental, phlebotomy, veterinary nursing or science backgrounds, this position will also suit anyone that is highly motivated and able to demonstrate a keenness to learn, andhave excellent communication skills to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.
