The role
ASIS is seeking senior network integration / CDS engineer with the requisite technical background, skills and experience to support the development and delivery of a range of secure gateways and cross domain solutions in a fast-paced and complex global environment.
Working in the gateway and cross domain solutions team, you will be working with emerging high security data transfer and access technology to ensure information is securely processed between security domains.
You will ensure security threats and risks are understood and enforce CDS controls to protect against malicious actors.
Working to deliver solutions for both operational and corporate technology areas, you will provide essential enabling services in ASIS.

Role responsibilities
Outlined below are the key areas of responsibility for the role:
Design and implement network and system integration between disparate platforms to provide new capabilities implementing secure quantum-safe gateways and cross domain solutions
Evaluate emerging technologies, vendor capabilities and business needs to recommend secure, scalable, and operationally effective cross domain architectures
Provide technical leadership in the development and delivery of mission critical capabilities within a team setting, mentoring junior engineers to foster a culture of knowledge sharing
Engage with business areas to understand requirements and identify technology solutions that follow accreditation frameworks to ensure a robust security posture




Collaborate with cybersecurity to produce clear technical documentation and artefacts to achieve accreditation in accordance with the ISM and PSPF to support accreditation and assurance activities
Core skills
We encourage applicants with one or more of the following skills and attributes to apply:
Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching and network security principles
Experience/knowledge in cross domain solution (CDS) concepts; both bi-directional and one-way cross domain data transfers
Experience configuring networking/telecommunications infrastructure and network security appliances, such as next generation firewalls, CUBE/Expressways, NiFi and/or email proxy solutions
Experience in firewalls, gateways, cloud networking platforms, principles and environments
Exposure to networks using commercial and government grade cryptographic equipment
Education and qualification requirements
Experience in the following would be beneficial, but not essential:
Relevant engineering degree or professional industry experience/certifications (e.g. CCNP or equivalent)
Working in secure government enterprise environments in networks, gateways or internet security infrastructure

Be assessed as suitable to hold and maintain a TOP SECRET-Privileged Access security clearance
