We are seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice to join our team at our Dalby Foundry.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a heavy manufacturing environment while completing a nationally recognised trade qualification.
You'll learn from experienced tradespeople, develop practical skills and build a long-term career with an established Australian manufacturer.
About the role
As an Apprentice at the Dalby site, you'll work alongside experienced tradespeople and production teams, gaining practical skills across the maintenance and operation of foundry plant and equipment.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll receive structured on-the-job training while completing the required studies for your trade qualification.
This role offers:
38-hour week, Monday to Friday
Paid on-the-job training while completing your apprenticeship
Hands-on experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
Support and mentoring from experienced tradespeople

What you'll learn
As your skills and experience develop, you'll have the opportunity to:
Assist with preventative and reactive maintenance of plant and production equipment
Learn how to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults
Develop skills working with pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes and conveyors
Gain practical welding and fabrication experience
Assist experienced tradespeople with equipment repairs and maintenance
Learn to identify equipment issues and support preventative maintenance activities
Work safely around industrial machinery and equipment
Maintain accurate records and follow site procedures
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Follow all HSEQ requirements and contribute to a strong safety culture
About you
We're looking for someone who is ready to learn, enjoys practical work and wants to build a career in the manufacturing industry.
You'll ideally have:
A genuine interest in completing a trade apprenticeship
An interest in mechanical equipment, machinery and manufacturing
A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
A strong commitment to workplace safety
Reliability, a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Positive communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
The ability to follow instructions and take responsibility for your development
Previous work experience is not essential.
