About the roleTreasure Island Child Care Centre is seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator (Cert III or working towards) to join our team on a part-time basis in Clifton, QLD ****.
This role is fundamental to creating a nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children in our care.
As an Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting children's growth, development and wellbeing whilst implementing evidence-based educational practices aligned with the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.
This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives whilst working within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Key responsibilities
Providing direct care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and comfort at all times
Planning, implementing and evaluating developmentally appropriate learning experiences and activities that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development
Building positive relationships with children and their families, maintaining open communication and supporting transitions
Maintaining accurate and detailed observations and documentation of children's learning and development
Supporting children's independence, resilience and social skills through guided play and structured activities
Maintaining a clean, safe and stimulating learning environment that meets health, safety and hygiene standards
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent practices and high-quality care delivery across the service
Contributing to the implementation of the centre's policies and procedures,
including duty of care and child protection obligations
Assisting with routine care tasks such as feeding, toileting and rest times
Supporting children with additional needs and implementing individualised strategies as required
What we're looking for
Current or actively working towards a Certificate III in Children's Services or equivalent early childhood qualification
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning and development
Sound knowledge of child development stages and evidence-based educational practices
Robust communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality, duty of care and child safeguarding responsibilities
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain this)
Current Queensland working with Children clearance
Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
Physical capability to participate in active play and care routines with children
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
