In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering memorable events across our venue, including private functions, community gatherings and special celebrations.
You will work closely with management, kitchen and bar teams to ensure every event runs smoothly and reflects the welcoming hospitality The Railway Tavern is known for.
This role involves managing bookings, coordinating event logistics, liaising with clients and ensuring high-quality service to create enjoyable and seamless experiences for all guests.Key ResponsibilitiesPromoting conferences, conventions and trade shows to potential customersResponding to inquiries concerning services provided and costs for room and equipment hire, catering and related servicesMeeting with clients to discuss their needs and outlining package options to meet these needsArranging and coordinating services, such as conference facilities, catering, signage, displays, audio-visual equipment, accommodation,



transport and social events, for participantsOrganising registration of participantsNegotiating the type and costs of services to be provided within budgetSkills & Experience RequiredMinimum AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma required in the related field.Minimum three years of relevant in an Event Coordinator/manager or similar roleExperience designing and delivering complex events or experience-led programsStrong project management and budget management capabilityAbility to navigate complex and sometimes competing priorities with a calm and considered approachExperience translating strategy into hands-on deliveryExperience designing inclusive and high-quality community experiencesStrong stakeholder management and facilitation skillsStrong analytical skills and comfort working with data Experience using Customer Relationship Management platformsClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to balance strategic thinking with operational excellenceAbout YouYou are an enthusiastic, driven hospitality professional who thrives in leadership roles, values tradition, and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while preserving the legacy and spirit of an iconic establishment.
