What you'll do
As a Fitter you will be primarily accountable for:
Servicing, component change outs and repairs to rollingstock
Overhaul of rollingstock, components and various other plant and equipment
Pipework and air system installations
Rollingstock and current wagon build fit outs
Repairs to other plant and equipment as required
Maintaining records pertaining to maintenance programs in accordance with the requirements of our Rail Safety Management System and relevant engineering standards
What you'll bring
As a successful applicant you will be trade qualified and have experience in the following items:
Knowledge and experience in maintenance in a heavy engineering industry
Experience in a rail related field is preferred but not essential, heavy equipment maintainers are encouraged to apply
Demonstrate a working knowledge of WHS legislation and risk standards




Ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised when required
Excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills are essential
Effective problem-solving skills, a positive attitude and be keen to contribute to continuous improvement to meet our reliability, availability and safety standards
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical with drug and alcohol screening
