About the role
Treatment Coordinators are an integral part of delivering an outstanding patient experience while also contributing directly to the continued growth and success of the practice.
This role extends well beyond administration.
Key responsibilities
Developing authentic relationships with patients and establishing trust throughout their treatment journey
Taking the time to understand each patient's individual needs, objectives, concerns and any obstacles to treatment
Communicating treatment recommendations clearly, including the proposed plan and required next steps
Discussing treatment costs, payment methods and available financing options with patients
Responding to patient enquiries and providing reassurance when concerns or questions arise
Preparing tailored patient resources and treatment-planning information to support informed decision-making
Facilitating treatment acceptance and ensuring a smooth transition to the scheduling team
Maintaining contact with patients who require additional time before committing to treatment
Providing consistently high-quality communication while keeping patient information and records accurate and up to date
About you
Communicate effectively with a wide range of patients and personality types
Build genuine connections and create a sense of trust and comfort from the outset
Have confident, respectful conversations about complex treatment options and significant financial commitments
Bring a results-focused and commercially aware mindset to the role
Work comfortably with agreed targets, KPIs and performance expectations
Stay organised and consistent when managing patient follow-up and ongoing communication
Understand the underlying concerns that may prevent a patient from proceeding and work with them to identify suitable solutions
Present themselves professionally and communicate with confidence in a consultation setting
Be open to feedback, coaching and continuous development in treatment coordination and communication
Previous experience in treatment coordination, dentistry, healthcare, consultative sales or another high-value client-facing role will be considered highly beneficial
