About the role:
CMAX is currently seeking Laboratory Assistants to work on a casual basis, shifts will include after business hours and weekends.
As a member of the Laboratory Team, the Laboratory Assistant will provide assistance in a range of technical tasks under the guidance and supervision of the Laboratory Manager and/or Laboratory Supervisors, to conduct its clinical studies to a high standard of quality as required by relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulations and guidelines.
The successful person will be responsible for:
Assisting in the collection, processing, storage and sorting of biological samples and completion of required documentation;
Assist in preparing biological samples for dispatch (as required);
Performing and documenting laboratory equipment maintenance activities;
Housekeeping of laboratory areas;
Monitor and notify of order requirements for laboratory supplies;
Participate in training activities (as required).
Please note:



our laboratory work does not involve any diagnostic or bioanalytical analysis on site.
About you:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant science or health care discipline would be highly regarded or equivalent experience inclusive of on the job training;
Demonstrated general knowledge of the standards, procedures, regulations and standards relating to the conduct of clinical studies including ICH GCP;
Be an enthusiastic self-starter;
Have excellent interpersonal and team skills;
Proven excellent attention to detail and computer competency;
Ability to multitask and adapt to changes in priorities;
Available to work out of business hours on weekends and week days as well as work night shift.
Please note: For training purposes, the initial period will require you work day shifts.
